| Architects' Days 2007 at ZOW in Bad Salzuflen: Materials of the Future and innovative Design |
Following on from the success of Architects' Day 2006, the next "ZOW - Zuliefermesse Ost-Westfalen" (East Westphalia Supplier Show) will include a dedicated Architectural Lounge with information for architects, interior designers and design professionals. Partners in the Lounge are the BDIA [German Interior Designers'/Architects' Union], the architecture journal DETAIL, Hanover-based iF International Forum Design and Material Connexion Cologne. The ZOW trade show takes place February 26 to March 1, 2007, at the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center.
Located at the heart of the East Westphalian furniture industry, ZOW is the central trade fair for suppliers to the furniture and interior design industries in Germany. And now architects, interior designers and design professionals view ZOW increasingly as "their" trade show. The combination of up-to-date product information and built architecture, the straight-forward exchange of ideas between exhibitors and visitors, and also the smooth transition from meeting with colleagues to setting up networking initiatives gives ZOW added value for architects which far exceeds the average. Visitors have access to a huge variety of products and services: in 2006, 710 national and international exhibitors with over 40 product groups were represented at the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center.
Ideas for architects, interior designers and design professionals
It was when the show first conceived a dedicated program for architects and interior designers that a visit to ZOW became part of the annual cycle of shows for this target group. Following the success of "ZOW Architects' Day 2006", show organizer Survey is now extending the provision again at the next ZOW.
The Architectural Lounge's Expert Partners
From February 26 to March 1, 2007, visitors to ZOW are welcome to use the dedicated Architectural Lounge in Hall 23.2 (Upper Floor) immediately by the South Visitor Entrance as a venue for meetings and introductions. Occupying more than 300 square meters of space, the Lounge offers a wealth of information covering all aspects of the exhibition, trade-specific guided tours of ZOW as well as the opportunity for in-depth exchange of ideas. For the 2007 event, ZOW welcomes four new partners on board: the BDIA [German Interior Designers'/Architects' Union], the architecture journal DETAIL, Hanover-based iF International Forum Design and Material Connexion Cologne.
In collaboration with these partners, the 2007 ZOW Architecture Days - which run throughout the entire show - offer a diverse and attractive program to visitors with an interest in architecture:

iF: Gold Collection 2006

E3S Exclusive Exhibition: Solid Surfaces and Engineered Stone
In the spring of 2006, E3S (European Solid Surface Show & Engineered Stone Exhibition) celebrated a successful first appearance as a new show strand at ZOW - Zuliefermesse Ost-Westfalen (East Westphalia Supplier Show). As an attractive, international trade forum for solid surfaces and engineered stone, E3S is set to occupy a special position at the 2007 event as well: Nowhere else in Europe can architects, interior designers and design professionals obtain such a comprehensive overview of the broad range of these materials, the latest developments in technology and the vast range of applications available. E3S is to be found in Hall 22.2.
Lightweight.Network: Lightweight Construction under the spotlight
"Lightweight.Network" promises to be a revolution in technology. This joint venture between the three companies involved, Egger, Rehau and Hettich, is now beginning to gather some serious momentum in the industrial production of frameless lightweight panels. Serial production is set to open up new solutions for furniture designers and interior developers. "Lightweight.Network" is located in Hall 23.2 at ZOW and will introduce the product and its potential applications.
ZOW: Visitor-friendly Show Concept
On a final note, traditionally, trade visitors to ZOW have not had to bear the costs which are usually imposed elsewhere. Entry to ZOW is free, and the show catalog, meals and drinks consumed at the show and parking throughout ZOW are also completely free of charge. There are free shuttle services to Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport and to the ICE mainline railway station in Bielefeld.
