PREMIUM Autumn/Winter 2007/08 final report
Dear exhibitors, visitors and friends,
the PREMIUM team would like to express its gratitude to all exhibitors and visitors for the extremely positive feedback for the 9th PREMIUM in Berlin.
FACTS
The Autumn/Winter 2007/08 PREMIUM was the most successful event since its establishment, with 15,647 visitors from 19 countries. The homogeneous composition of over 700 collections, the quality of buyers and the professional organization were highly praised in particular. 67% of the visitors came from the German-speaking area (Germany/Austria/Switzerland), 15% from Italy and Southern Europe, and 4% in equal proportions from the UK, Benelux and Eastern Europe. 2% came from Asia, the USA, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.
PREMIUM SYMPOSIUM
The second PREMIUM Symposium, entitled ‘Why Berlin?’, was received with lively interest by the press and politicians.
Harold Wolf/mayor and senator for business, technology and women issues, Massimo Redaelli/Senior Vice-President of IMG Fashion Europe, Anders Ardehed/Sales Director Filippa K, Thierry Prévost/CEO Galeries Lafayette Berlin and Katia Mossina/star designer from Russia, spoke. The event was presented by Melissa Drier, German correspondent for WWD.
PREMIUM YOUNG DESIGNERS AWARD
The three winners of the PREMIUM YOUNG DESIGNERS AWARD for the Autumn/Winter 2007/08 season were selected from nine nominated collections. The jury consisted of Liana Daskalov/IMG, Grit Thönissen/Der Tagesspiegel, Klaus Metz/ESMOD Berlin, Katie Newham/CONCRETE London and Boris Zbikowski/ PREMIUM.
