A sneak preview of trends, a focus to combine fashion and comfort in innovation, fashion again with the “Of Textiles and Men”, Tissu Premier will as ever be way ahead for its 58th edition.

Homing in on trends for Winter 08/09, not forgetting the Summer 08 update which will help summer linger on at the beginning of September, before getting to grips with the snap of winter cold, with fabrics and accessories available immediately for Christmas 07!

Creative diversity is served up to the 6,000-odd visitors expected at Tissu Premier. Leading names in distribution, brands, and garment manufacturers have already registered.


SEASONS ARE OUT
It’s all topsy-turvy! Sales outlets are taking their deliveries ever earlier, crafty ones still keep out-of-season products on their shelves, on the off-chance of selling a couple of sweaters in the middle of May, or skimpy tops in November. To meet these new market requirements, Tissu Premier is giving visitors the chance to work on several seasons at once:
- Winter 08/09: to book your fabrics, accessories, supplies and production capacity
- Summer 08: to select your updates
- Christmas 07: to place your orders for immediately available fabrics and accessories, meet garment manufacturers and finishers at the services and garment manufacturing platform.

SPEED DATING FOR FAST FASHION

To respond immediately to demanding consumers, the industry is getting organised further up the supply chain: offering dyes using the “in” colour in record time, investing in ongoing design, working on all-in solutions or “full package offers” to use the current jargon. Distributors are honing their logistics.

Since January 2005, Tissu Premier has been part of this dynamic, bringing together distribution, which accounts for 80% of the fashion market, and the classics in the industry and trade.

FEEL FREE! FOCUS ON COMFORT AND INNOVATION

Fashion + Comfort + Innovation are the consumer’s requirements. It’s also a winning
combination for competitive edge on the seniors, sportswear, children’s wear or plus size markets. This translates into research on new fabrics, designs and cuts. Comfort and innovation will be geared around four themes in a bilingual guide, available for free: comfort for the wearer, comfort for health, climatic comfort & performances, comfort for the planet/sustainable development.

Expertise Textile/La Fédération has honed its “comfortable” solutions catering to the seniors market for TISSU PREMIER in a bilingual focus presented as a preview at the Show. Feel Free! a study for more fashion and freedom of movement, sex appeal and quite simply to be yourself! A special, informative zone with a playful approach (featuring a forum, conferences, fabrics focus and design) will develop this theme providing information on markets, fabrics and accessories, garments and objects.

MEN TAKE ON FASHION!

Of Textiles and Men places the individual at the heart of fashion issues for Winter 08/09. Design studios will be giving their own twist on this theme at the entrance to the Show.

A FRIENDLY WINTER 08/09

A key factor in the success of Tissu Premier, a resource with undeniable commercial impact for the exhibitors, the Tissu Premier General Forum will now be featuring last-minute fabric information.
The Show will be giving an urban, even industrial slant to this edition, with a dual sport/couture feel for the market leaders.
Tissu Premier, the only Show to suggest a colour range will be going all-out for colour for 08/09 with sweet, purple, intense, muted and pale themes, using an interplay of colour, volumes and light.
Tissu Premier will be showcasing fashion via five “attitudes” at the heart of the General Forum.

This year yet again, Tissu Premier will be renewing the Special Kids Forum and associated events.

. 300 exhibitors: 42% from France, 30% from other European countries, 18% from the Mediterranean rim and 11% from Asia and the Indian Ocean
