Texworld USA July 2009 Welcomes Six Mills from Mauritius
 Six mills from Mauritius have joined the list of more than 135 exhibitors for this summer’s edition of Texworld USA, which will return to New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, July 14-16.
The host and supporter of the mills’ New York debut, Enterprise Mauritius, is a collaborative partnership between industry and government that aims to help businesses in Mauritius expand into regional and international markets, and at the same time develop their internal capability to meet the challenges of international competition.
The six mills joining the show are:
Firemount Textiles Ltd.
Firemount Textiles Ltd. is a denim and casual wear manufacturer with 2 ultra-modern production plants, equipped with sophisticated high-tech machinery, comparable with the best in the world. As of today they are the largest denim manufacturer in the southern hemisphere with a production capacity of more than 6 million pieces per annum.
Palmar Limitée Knits
Palmar Limitée Knits is the knits division of the Palmar Group. They are a fully vertical operation, from the yarn stage, that manufactures a wide variety of structured single and double knit fabrics, as well as a full range of knit apparel. Their team can develop new structures and designs to fit any customer’s requirements.
Palmar Limitée Wovens
Palmar Limitée Wovens is a semi-integrated woven bottoms operation, from the fabric stage through to the finished product. Both their in-house state-of-the-art washing facility and their collaboration with a famous European wash house, enables Palmar Limitée Wovens to offer a variety of the latest washes and finishes.
RS Denim Ltd.
RS Denim turns virgin cotton into beautiful denim fabrics. Their cotton is sourced from West African producers in Côte d’lvoire, Mali and Benin, who offer them the benefits of proximity and the finest quality. Everything else - from spinning to dyeing to weaving and finishing of fabrics - happens in RS Denim’s state-of-the-art denim mill.
RT Knits
RT Knits is a leading supplier of fine cut and sewn knit garments to fashion retailers around the world. As a fully integrated manufacturer, RT Knits believes in the importance of having the shortest speed to market time while reducing their footprint on the environment by promoting clean and green manufacturing of apparel.
Star Knitwear Group
The Star Group produces knitted fabric ranging from the most basic cotton to fleece, Lycra jersey, interlock, jacquard, pique, spectra dyed, feeder and engineered stripe to very delicate fabrics using Lyocell yarn. They are continuously investing in both people and equipment to keep every division of the company state-of-the-art and running efficiently.
