Beauty Conference draws high calibre attendance

Prominent professionals and industry experts will gather to discuss the latest trends, issues and cutting-edge information to hit Australia’s beauty industry at the upcoming Expand Your Business Conference, featuring alongside the 2007 Melbourne International Beauty Expo, Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 April 2007.

Limited spaces to this prestigious event are still available, but with only one week to go, the conference has already attracted significant interest from company owners and managers who make up more than 85% of registered attendees. Beauty and spa therapists have also ensured their attendance, and represent 51% of those registered. Visitors are being urged to book their spaces now to avoid disappointment.

“The Expand Your Business Conference will offer invaluable advice and guidance for all beauty professionals, and this has been reflected in the high calibre of delegates registering to attend. With such a topical and solid program, the conference really is a must attend event for any beauty professional looking to expand their vision and business in 2007,” said Lauren Ebbeck, Exhibition Manager.

Featuring a dynamic and content-rich program designed to address the needs of the rapidly changing beauty industry, the conference will tackle key issues including maximising staff potential, the latest spa-training techniques and understanding the new workplace environment.

The conference boasts an impressive line-up of internationally renowned speakers including expert industry consultant Paul Carbis; Spacareers Director Vanessa Gay; and National Director of Employee Relations for the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Association, Suzanne White.

Distinguished professionals Janine Allis, founder of Boost Juice Bars and winner of the prestigious Telstra Business Women’s Award; and Dr Michael Zacharia, President of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and the Australasian Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine will feature as keynote speakers for the conference.

The conference offers delegates two session streams, Industry Insight and Better Business. Proudly presented by Gold Conference sponsor Pevonia Botanica and Conference sponsor Payot, the sessions cover a broad range of topical issues facing the industry.

At the Better Business sessions attendees will receive advice on improving their business, including what it takes to run a successful business; marketing and branding strategies to power your business; connecting with your market and using the Internet to drive customers to your door; how to grow your business; the new workplace environment and understanding how it will impact on staffing management; how to secure peak staff performers and how to maximise staff potential.

Industry Insight sessions will include how cosmetic ingredients enter the skin; the art and science of treating pigmentation; the evaluation of light therapies for different modalities; how to ensure the delivery of an exceptional guest experience; how to live to 100 and love it; the introduction of wellness and holistic lifestyle principles and the latest spa-training techniques.
