Trade Fair for Cosmetics, Nail and Foot Professionals
Beauty International Düsseldorf presents spa trends
In addition to the latest treatments and products in the cosmetics, nail and foot-care sectors, BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL DÜSSELDORF from 7 to 9 March 2008 will also show the current trends in the booming wellness and spa industry.
Men’s worlds: Wellness for the “strong sex”
The highlight at BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL is the “Spa Impressions” special show in Hall 3. Its title in 2008 is “Männerwelten” (Men’s Worlds) and will be totally dedicated to the “strong sex”. The men’s cosmetics market is registering double-figure growth rates, but so far even body-care and grooming-conscious men have only rarely paid a visit to spa and beauty institutes. To ensure that this changes, apart from the range of treatment, the institutes must also specifically address the men’s world of feelings and needs. The “Spa Impressions: Men’s Worlds” shows how this can work in the institute. In Joachim Hallwachs, hallwachs & partner – the design company, Bad Ragaz, and Sylvia Glückert, WellConsult, Munich, Messe Düsseldorf along with the German Wellness Association (Deutscher Wellness Verband), which is taking full charge of the special show, have acquired the services of two well-known experts for the event’s organizational side.
Entitled “PLEASURE: for men only”, Joachim Hallwachs is showing a full solution which can be installed in every body and beauty treatment world. The designer knows what men like: root wood, black granite, fine, exquisite leather, satinized glass, high-end TV, video & sound systems, glass-fibre lighting technology. The luxurious and masculine appearance of the ambience is matched by the functionality and efficiency of the room utilization. The space of only 36 sq.m. accommodates a treatment area, shower temple, sauna and tub niche – an all-in-one treatment suite which appeals to men just like an exclusive Italian sports car.
In addition to this somewhat luxurious men’s world, the special show will also present ideas on how the skilful design and decoration of normal treatment cabins can produce a masculine world of experience. Sylvia Glückert is presenting a female and male ambience in two identically designed sample cabins with identical basic fittings. The effect of correspondingly selected accessories and decorations as well as the deliberate choice of room setting are amazing and prove that men-orientated design can also be realized in conventional treatment rooms and without great expenditure if several design rules are consistently followed.
Ambience and quality: the luxury nail spa
The wellness trend has long since played a key role in all areas of professional cosmetics. It has a permanent effect on both the furnishings and atmosphere of the studios as well as the increased range of wellness and care treatment. Nail studios are no exception here. The attractive and contemporary design along with the structuring of the rooms is now just as important as the high-quality treatment and trained personnel. The studio optics must reflect and convey a genuineness, reliability and quality along with specialist competence and expertise.
BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL DÜSSELDORF will pick up these trends and in a special area in the Hall 9 entrance area will present a luxury nail spa. The exclusive studio concept will be presented by alessandro International from Langenfeld. In cooperation with a leading Hamburg architect, company boss Silvia Troska has developed the alessandro Nail Spa and thus fulfilled her long-cherished dream of the perfect institute. The modern institute for hand, nail and foot care perfectly combines an exclusive setting, furnishings and facilities of a timeless, stylish elegance with the practical requirements of daily business.
