CPM – Collection Première Moscow continues on course for success
CPM Premium launch enhances ranges at CPM yet again
CPM – Collection Première Moscow remains on track for success. Eastern Europe’s leading fashion fair continues to grow and is guaranteed to provide trade buyers from Russia and its neighbouring states with a comprehensive trend overview for the 2008 Spring/Summer season. 4 to 7 September will see over 1,300 exhibitors from 37 countries present their collections on 52,000 m² at the Krasnaya Presnaya
Expocentr exhibition centre. This means numbers are up again by 18 % against the
same event last year.
For more than 16,900 trade visitors CPM – Collection Première Moscow will
serve as a powerful B-2-B platform. During the four days of the trade fair the focus
will clearly be on gathering information and placing orders. This means CPM will
continue to rank as one of the top marketing tools for firms seeking their share in
the developing Russian apparel market.
Speaking at a CPM press conference in Düsseldorf Frank Hartmann, CEO of the fair
organising Igedo Company, said: “CPM is nearly sold out again and although the
Russian clothing market is currently experiencing a slight economic dip, the general
upswing is as strong as ever. Growth rates on the market continue to be in the
double-digit range and we expect the Russian apparel market to sustain this growth
until at least 2013. Here CPM is set to provide decisive momentum in the future,
too.“
The demand for prime-segment brands, in particular, is currently also growing at an
above-average rate on the Russian market. By introducing its new segment ‘CPM
Premium’ the Igedo Company has responded to the wish voiced by many prime

confirmed their participation at CPM Premium in Hall 8.1 – including such
exclusive brands as Barbara Schwarzer, Riani and Sonja Marohn from Germany,

Events accompanying CPM
The varied programme of accompanying events organised for CPM – Collection
Première Moscow will inform visitors on the latest trends and developments in
the fashion sector. The daily fashion shows like the CPM Catwalk in the Hall of
Design (Hall 4) as well as the CPM Kids Catwalk in Hall 3 of CPM Kids have become
firm fixtures as sources of inspiration. A new addition is the Premium Fashion Show
also to be held in the Hall of Design, Hall 4. Other catwalk highlights guaranteed to
pull in the crowds are the “Children’s Fashion from Spain“ show and the défilé by
famous Russian fashion designer Slava Zaitsev, staged in the Hall of Design (Hall 4)
at 4.00 pm on Thursday, 6 September 2007.
Likewise, the seminar programme presented at the Marble Hall promises to provide
interesting insights. The Russian Fashion Consulting Group plans to hold a workshop
on the 2008 Spring/Summer Trends 2008 and the Russian magazine “Ya
pokupayu“ will present lectures, amongst other things on “efficient advertising
measures in the fashion industry”. Other seminars are being planned.
The CPM Fashion Night is traditionally held at one of Moscow’s top up-andcoming
hot spots on the evening of the first day of the fair and invites guests to
“talk shop” in an inspiring setting.
Special Marketing Measures
Since January 2007 CPM – Collection Première Moscow has been represented on the Internet with its own matchmaking platform. This powerful B-2-B tool was designed especially for the Russian fashion market and offers apparel manufacturers and suppliers as well as commercial agents the chance to find matching business partners at www.cpm-tradeservice.com all year round. Up until today, 300 people have registered, and figures are rising.
Moreover, the Igedo Company has stepped up its visitor recruitment efforts. In
addition to all existing measures over 20,000 Russian trade buyers were also sent a
Newsletter covering key information revolving about CPM. Additionally, numerous
press roundtables were organised in selected European metropolises such as Milan,
London, Antwerp, Copenhagen, Moscow and Warsaw to inform the press about this trade fair in Eastern Europe.
For 2008 the Igedo Company has planned to extend the exhibition space for CPM –
Collection Première Moscow once again thereby demonstrating that fashion
nations will continue to focus on Russia as a future market.
The tenth CPM – Collection Première Moscow will run from 26 to 29 February 2008.
