MAISON&OBJET: development and unity 

For over 10 years, MAISON&OBJET has developed a consistent, multisector range, determinedly focused on creativity and bringing together all homeware and furniture players to become the key exhibition in the European landscape, while maintaining its strong identity. This strategy is confirmed and asserted by the new outlook facing MAISON&OBJET thanks to:
• results for January 2007 which confirm international progress,
• the creation of MAISON&OBJET OUTDOOR_INDOOR in September 2007,
• the creation of MEUBLE PARIS in January 2008.

January 2007: strong progress internationally.
MAISON&OBJET and PLANÈTE MEUBLE PARIS took things up a gear with visitors exceeding all levels so far achieved.
101,206 trade visitors, 132 countries represented: a growing proportion of international visitors at MAISON&OBJET exhibitions (+19%) and record numbers at MAISON&OBJET (83,416 buyers) and PLANÈTE MEUBLE PARIS (17,790 buyers).
The success of this 2007 session, presenting a general vision of the decorative arts in the home and revolving around strong creative expression, clearly demonstrates the vitality of Paris, an essential creative and major economic venue.

By launching the first international exhibition completely dedicated to the OUTDOOR_INDOOR lifestyle, MAISON&OBJET has created a key event for trendy restaurants, luxurious spas, prestigious hotels and all stores specialising in outdoor/indoor!
A breath of fresh air is blowing over Hall 7, with the launch of MAISON&OBJET OUTDOOR_INDOOR, a new exhibition dedicated to the outdoor_indoor lifestyle. It will present a hundred or so French and international brands offering the best in upscale, designer and creative outdoor furniture in a surface area measuring more than 7 000 m² net.

MAISON&OBJET OUTDOOR_INDOOR invents a new way of life and a whole decoration/design world to go with it.
With this new event, complementary to MAISON&OBJET l projets l, specifiers will be able to discover confirmed brands, leaders in their sectors, but also new talents, new materials, new forms, hi-tech processes or design companies developing specific outdoor collections. There will of course be outdoor furniture (80% of exhibitors) but also containers, lighting, outdoor kitchens and key outdoor accessories like fountains, showers, parasols, veils, gazebos and even tea houses...

MEUBLE PARIS, Paris Le Bourget, January 2008. The event!
Following the acquisition by SAFI of 100% of SE SMP, the company operating the Salon du Meuble de Paris in May 2007, the Salon du Meuble de Paris and PLANÈTE PARIS join forces to create the event for the furniture sector. MEUBLE PARIS is the unique event for the furniture sector in Paris, combined with MAISON&OBJET’s world of decoration and homeware.

Henceforth, the most exhaustive offer exists in the lifestyle sector with this new exhibition: MEUBLE PARIS 24th to 28th January 2008, at the Paris Le Bourget exhibition centre.
In January 2008, by uniting the whole homeware and furniture sectors, MAISON&OBJET will offer, in the same week: one single entry ticket, enhanced communication and shared services...

Now occurring at the same dates, the worlds of homeware, furniture and fashion make Paris the “Capitale de la Création”. All players in these professions will be able to take advantage of the energies and synergies offered by each partner exhibition and offer French and international buyers, specifiers and journalists one of the most extensive offers dedicated to creativity in all its forms.

MAISON&OBJET more than ever puts its energy into creativity. The creative offer of the decoration, lifestyle, furniture sectors anchored in the small business fabric, in line with modern trends, is its strength. This meeting of players individually or collectively expressing their projects and designs within specific sections or exhibitions strongly contributes to the interpenetration of markets. the expectations of players, and French and international buyers and specifiers in particular.
