Dear Friends,
It is with immense honor that I share with all of you, the news of the Gold Medal and the Certificate of Merit that will be bestowed upon me by Dr. Justice S. Mohan, President of the World Academy of Arts and Culture, during the XXVII World Congress of Poets to take place this year in Chennai, India.
Peace and Unity are the most precious ideals I embrace, and these resonate with the World Academy of Arts and Culture’s motto: “With World Brotherhood and Peace through Poetry, we can unite Nations in an effort to achieve World Peace and Understanding.
When I return from India, I am planning to travel to Colombia, my birth country, to share and present this precious honor to the President Alvaro Uribe, the members of the Ministry of Culture and all my people who have lived in turmoil for decades.
This award represents the message of love and compassion to all, and most of all, hope.
We all need to become Ambassadors for Peace so much required today!
