Wills Lifestyle will showcase an exclusive “Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week” line at the Grand Finale.

Atul Chand, General Manager, Marketing & Retail, ITC’s Lifestyle Retailing Business, said, “The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is the country’s biggest and most prestigious lifestyle event. The Indian fashion fraternity is committed to making it truly international and the coming together of the biggest designer names at this unique platform is a reflection of the event’s stature.”

Preeta Singh, CEO PDM said “This year for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, it’s an unparalleled line-up of designers who truly represent Indian fashion. What’s even more heartening is that our designers’ pool comes from across the country!

Through Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, we are committed to providing the designers, the best platform for the business of fashion!”

WHY SOME OF THE DESIGNERS CHOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN WILLS LIFESTYLE INDIA FASHION WEEK:

Ritu Kumar - This is the official platform for the Indian fashion industry hosted by an industry body & committed to take Indian fashion forward.

Tarun Tahiliani - because its business is to promote fashion regardless of any other circumstances!

Rina Dhaka - I choose to showcase at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week because I AM INDIA FASHION WEEK!

Rajesh Pratap Singh - we have always supported FDCI as this is the body formed by us.

JJ Valaya - When we founded the FDCI in 1998, we were very clear of its mission statement which was to create a credible platform for Indian fashion to evolve and grow. Eight years down the line I still maintain that our resolve remains unchanged & FDCI’s brainchild- the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week should and will continue as the official showcase of serious Indian fashion.

Raghavendra Rathore - I choose to participate in the WIFW because second only to cricket in its reach, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is probably the most authentic and effective channel for fashion in India, where creativity and talent freely mature into pure business.

Rohit Gandhi (Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna) - it’s the only Fashion Week that the country has and I choose to participate in India’s only fashion week and not any other fashion carnival.

Krishna Mehta - I choose to participate in the WIFW because it is the prime one and I choose to believe in it!

Arjun Khanna - I chose to participate at the WIFW because the industry needs to stay together specifically in a situation like it is today. It’s taken FDCI as a body, 7 years to bring it this far. Hence, the entire design community needs to show solidarity.

Manoviraj Khosla - I choose to participate in the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week because it is a great professional platform to showcase your collection and not just another tamasha show. Here the emphasis is on fashion and business. It is the only professional place to showcase your collection.

Sanjay Kapoor (Satya Paul) - FDCI is the original promoter of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The industry should stay united at this stage. Breaking up of the fashion fraternity at this time, will be detrimental to the fashion industry.

Leena Singh (Ashima - Leena) - I have always been a part of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. This is the only official fashion week organized by the FDCI. More so I believe that buyers will come to an event not because of corporates but because of the designers participating. And it’s great to see that the designers have shown solidarity by staying together as the FDCI.

David Abraham (Abraham & Thakore) - because it is a premier fashion designers’ trade event in the country and the fashion market in India is growing enormously. Being a member of the FDCI, I chose to participate in this event.

Nikhil Mehra (Shantanu & Nikhil) - I choose to participate in the WIFW because it is the only platform that will globalize Indian Fashion!

Shantanu Goenka - It is a body for the designers and by the designers. I have been with the body ever since I started showcasing at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. I would stand by the body till the event goes on!

Gaurav Gupta - I see WIFW as an excellent platform for designers like me to show and interact with buyers and media from all over under a single banner. It has always had an interesting mix of designers and I am glad that fashion and its media in India has matured with time and is now ready to be treated as a serious focus and business.

Manav Gangwani - "FDCI provides a platform to the designers to showcase their collection at the WIFW for maximum exposure to international and domestic buyers and media. With Wills Lifestyle coming as a title sponsor it shall offer the designer an absolute perfect Indian retail concept."

Priya Awasthy - "WIFW is the most supportive and friendly platform in India that enables a designer to have complete exposure to the media, domestic and international buyers and every consumer in every part of the World. I am extremely excited and looking forward to my debut show at India's biggest trade platform."
