 Electrons gather around a nucleus to create movement. They cause changes and become new creations.
ModaLisboa is once again gathering together the collections created by Portuguese fashion designers and brands. This edition presents some new faces that will be announced shortly.
The Spring/Summer 2007 season is inspired by high Energy, confirming our national designers’ and brands’ talent and capacity for change. This season, always radiant and magnetic, is one that generates change and creates new strengths.
 Energy, projecting into the future while making reference to the past and acting in the present.
Energy, innovation and technology married to Design.
Energy, the élan vital of creating new exciting shapes, silhouettes, colour pallets and glamorous finishings.
Energy, the fashion expansion vehicle.
Our choice of venue for this channelling of energy came from a direct link to the theme. Lisbon’s Electricity Museum is one of the best examples of early XXth century industrial architecture and will play host to the most contemporary Portuguese fashion creations.
Facing the Tagus River, the museum has undergone five years of restoration work to take on its present pedagogic role. This building supplied the city of Lisbon with energy for many decades and now ModaLisboa is continuing this tradition, unleashing new forms of energy: creative energy and energy coming from emotion and desire. These energies spark new creations, which light up Lisbon.
Fashion is Energy.
