Dubrovnik, Croatia, May 04, 2009 — Dubrovnik Fashion Week International with principal support of Ministry of Tourism and Dubrovnik City Council, have announced dates as follows:
Dubrovnik Fashion Week 2009: July 1, 2009 – July 5, 2009
// This year we are proud to present Dubrovnik with a fashion event of international impact, which we hope will not only establish it firmly in the city’s annual calendar of events, but also in the international fashion calendar.
 This collaboration of fashion, entertainment and art is novel and unique for Croatia. It will showcase work of number of innovative and exciting designers from Croatia, alongside most interesting emerging designer talents and progressive artists in Europe. This event will focus on the highest level of artistic excellence within the current fashion and event scene in Europe.
A lavish purpose-built catwalk will be set on the famed central piazza within the historic walls of the Dubrovnik Old Town to host a series of fashion shows. The event will take place in the open air against a backdrop of perfectly preserved Renaissance and Baroque churches, squares, palaces and fountains. With a long cultural tradition, Dubrovnik combines genuine welcome with the highest levels of professionalism.
