More than 150 firms have already confirmed their participation at Barcelona Bridal Week – Noviaespaña 2007
The forecasts point to a full house in Pavilion 2.2 of the Gran Via Precinct
For the seventeenth edition of the BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK-NOVIAESPAÑA International Show, due to be held in Barcelona between June 1 and 3, 2007, more than 150 firms from all over the world have already confirmed participation. This hectic sign-up rate points to a full occupation of the new Trade Fair venue: Pavilion 2.2 of the Gran Vía Precinct of Fira Barcelona.
Four months before the Show is due to open, more than 85% of the space has already been reserved, and all the firms that participated in the 2006 event have expressed an interest in taking part again this time round. Therefore, all the forecasts suggest that this new event will be a resounding success, surpassing the attendance figures of the last event, which featured 200 brands, more than 30% of them foreign (mainly from Belgium, Holland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and the United States, among others).
CABOTINE, CHRISTIAN LACROIX Mariée, CYMBELINE, DE LA CIERVA Y NICOLÁS, ELIE SAAB, FRANC SARABIA, FRANCIS MONTESINOS, FUENTECAPALA, HANNIBAL LAGUNA, JESÚS DEL POZO, JESÚS PEIRÓ, JOAQUIM VERDÚ, JOSECHU SANTANA, LAGERFELD COLLECTION, MANUEL MOTA, MARIA ALEGRE, MARIA LLUÏSA RABELL, MATILDE CANO, MODEL NOVIAS, NOVIA D’ART, PATRICIA AVENDAÑO, PEPE BOTELLA, PRONOVIAS, RAIMON BUNDÓ, ROSA CLARÁ, RUBEN PERLOTTI, SIONA GARCÍA, ST. PATRICK, VALENTINO, VICTORIO & LUCCHINO, and many others, are but some of the names that will present once again at this event, which offers exhibitors the unique opportunity to consolidate markets, explore new business opportunities with emerging markets and, in a few words, boost exports from a sector in which Spain is the worldwide leader.
The capacity of the BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK-NOVIAESPAÑA as a focal point for purchasers from all countries is undeniable. The high degree of creativity and quality of the collections on show, linked to the event's international scope and the proven solvency of an event now into its seventeenth edition, provides a unique scenario that attracts numerous professionals. The latest edition received a total of 11.550 visitors. Of this figure, 48.2% came from abroad, which illustrates the international dimension of the event. Italy, with 10.7% of the visitors, led the ranking of visiting countries. It was followed by France (4.4 %) and Japan (2.8 %), confirming this event's appeal for this Asian market. England (2.6 %) came in fourth thanks to the actions in this country in collaboration with the COPCA (Consorcio de Promoción Comercial de Catalunya). Germany (2.4%), Portugal (2.2%), United States (2%), Holland (1%), Turkey (0.8) and Russia (0.4%), among others, completed the list of countries in attendance
Parallel to the Show's commercial activity, BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK will also provide the framework for the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS which, between May 29 and June 1, will be showcasing the collections for 2008 of more than 25 national and international designers of worldwide acclaim. Yet again, the new generation of designers, driving the industry with their creativity, will enjoy an outstanding space where they can present their own collections to the specialised press and buyers from all over the world.
With more than 16 years' experience and a progressive international development and expansion, it is safe to say that BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK-NOVIAESPAÑA has reached maturity and is now one of the sector's most important worldwide meeting points. Proof of this is the commitment that firms and buyers successfully renew every year, thus endorsing the appeal and uniqueness of Barcelona as the international Bridal Fashion capital.
