Greece welcomes new trends of International Fashion for Spring / Summer 2009 at the 4th «Athens Xclusive Designers Week»
 Athens, September 2008 — Fashion = Business, Extroversion, Show, Celebration and also a grand Festival of Creativity through some of the most important representatives of Greek and International Fashion Design. The latest collections and trends of Spring / Summer ’09 will be presented at the 4th «Athens Xclusive Designers Week» which will be launched on the 8 November and will stay open till 11 November at the Megaro Ethnikis Asfalistikis, in Athens, Greece.
Past year’s experience has indicated the way things should roll and the Organizers followed that hint by building the concept of a Festival based on the concept «Fashion». The audience will therefore have the opportunity to be informed about the latest Fashion trends arrinving from all the parts of the world... and naturally will witness all the new proposals coming from Greece, but also it will be entertained by a series of parallel events built on the platforms of Culture, Art, Business, Social Responsibility and Show! New artists will create countless Fashionable Art Objects inspired from the theme «Environment» on a unique camvas and these will be available to the audience of AXDW. A Fashion In Film accompanied by original artistic costumes of the Greek Cinema will be presented for the first time, a Controversial Photographic Exhibition will be the central Art-Show while everyone will have the opportunity to be informed about Environmental issues as well as Nutritional Disorder issues by teams of specialists. As always, AXDW will host the best Djs and will offer to all guests the most fashionable and polished Hollywood cocktails!
Having hosted top names and brands of the Fashion World in the past such as: Vivia Ferragamo, Krizia, Ioannis Guia, Boy George, Thes Tziveli, Nicky Hilton, Catalin Botezatu, Christoforos Kotentos, Elena Vorrea, Frank Muller, Melina Pispa, Penelope Zagoras, Marios Messios, Miltos, Katerina Karoussos, VKoulianou by Christos B. & many others, this year’s AXDW guards the secret of the presentation of famous Fashion Designers from Greece and abroad, which will present their work in Athens for the very first time!
Furthermore, the 4th AXDW will host once again the Institution of the «New Designers Award» and will encompass the Celebration by voting for the: «Best Designer», «Best Trendsetter» and «Best Catwalk».
AXDW is the only International Fashion Week in Greece, that dares to open up in innovation.! The concept is that Greek Fashion can and should open up to foreign collaborations, come in contact with the top professionals of the international market. Fashion, is one of the most important industries worldwide, that further to the business deals can also upgrade the local tourism for the city where it is hosted, through the participating professionals and foreign Media coverage.
The 4th AXDW is this Autumn’s biggest and brightest event where Greek designers are presenting their talented work to distinctive Buyers from Greece and abroad, and foreign designers come in contact with a fresh market, Greece, in order to broaden their market horizons though a country that is considered to be the «Gate» to the East. AXDW will be once again the «talk of the town» for everyone in the World of Fashion 2009!
