Amsterdam International Fashion Week # 6
The sixth edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week will take place from the 20th – 28th of January, 2007. The official catwalk schedule will be presented at the main Westergasfabriek show venue, whilst a bustling programme of trade shows, exhibitions, presentations, lectures, film screenings and parties takes place throughout the city.
 SHOWS – The final schedule will be presented in December, but a number of highlights have already been confirmed. The official AIFW Show Schedule kicks off on the 24th with the Dutch finals of the prestigious Lancôme Colour Designs Awards as well as catwalk presentations by Mart Visser Collection, Percy Irausquin, Blue Blood, Corné Gabriëls, Emily Hermans, Monique van Heist, Ilja Visser, Individuals, Antoine Peters, Edwin Oudshoorn and Daryl van Wouw. Special show facilities have been developed in conjunction with the City of Amsterdam and sponsors to ensure that breakthrough talents can present at AIFW – more details about the AIFW Talent Programme will follow soon.
PUBLIC – AIFW’s public programme – named Laundry Days – will take place at galleries, museums, cinemas, shops and clubs around town from the 20th-28th of January 2007. BUSINESS INSPIRATION & NETWORKS – following the success of the Fortis Fashion Business Exchange network (for decision-making executives, CEO’s and CFO’s), AIFW is developing network events to connect specialist professionals in the fields of Logistics, IT, HR & Recruiting and Marketing & Advertising. January’s FFBX Business Inspiration seminar will be held about Brand Turnarounds.
