BODY LOOK
International Trade Fair for Body, Beach and Legwear, Fabrics and
Findings
Body Look to occupy two halls of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre for the first time due to the continued increase in exhibitor numbers
Body Look, Germany’s only international trade fair for body, beach and legwear, is now
set to also continue its positive development at this its third staging as part of the Igedo
Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf from 22 - 24 July 2007 – this time occupying two halls of the
Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre for the first time. Approximately 250 exhibitors from 20
countries will present collections and a total of 400 brands on 22,000 m² of exhibition
space.
In addition to renowned all-time exhibitors such as Calida, HOM, Huit, Premium
Bodywear, Skiny, Simone Pérèle and Zimmerli Body Look has also succeeded in enlisting first-time exhibitors. Commenting on this development Project Director Sabine
Schommer confesses: “The registrations received for our summer event have exceeded
our expectations. We are very happy that Body Look will be held in two halls for the
first time and that we will be able to present numerous new exhibitors.” These include
Calvin Klein Underwear from the USA, Chiemsee from Germany, Argentovivo and
Valery from Italy, Gottex from Israel, Lejaby, Nicole Olivier and Pain de Sucre from
France, JBS from Denmark, Van Gennip from the Netherlands and I.D. Sarrieri from
Romania, to name but a few.
Intimate Park
A new component of Body Look is Intimate Park, an area set up by a number of
exhibitors. On display here will be progressive labels with an authentic brand philosophy
which aim to address both a young audience and distribution channels beyond classic
specialist underwear retailers. At Intimate Park trade visitors will find such exhibitors as
Diesel Bodywear, Joop, Miss Sixty, Movere Jean and Chiemsee.
Sports, Function and the Test Laboratory
Likewise, the alliance of sports and function presented last February has borne fruit:
with such companies as Ariella, Beeco-Beermann, Camaro, Fashy, Solar and Speedo in
the beachwear segment Body Look is now also registering a rising number of exhibitors
from the sports segment.
In connection with the sports and function theme interested trade visitors are invited to
visit a laboratory in Hall 15 of Body Look. Here the functional properties of various hightech fabrics will be demonstrated in cooperation with the Textile and Apparel
Engineering Academy of the University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach.
Visitors will be given the opportunity to gather information on the quality differences
between branded products and those offered by discount firms thereby helping them
to reduce their prejudices against man-made fibres.
Young Designers Pavilion and Linie First Look
The Young Designers Pavilion 10 will house young European bodywear, homewear and
sleepwear designers. The highlight will be the Young Designer Award First Look
presented at the Intimate Park area of Hall 15 at 7 pm on Sunday. An expert jury will
judge both the creativity and wearability of the styles staged during the fashion show.
After the show the most successful young designers will be awarded with the Linie First
Look prize by trade magazine Linie International in cooperation with the Igedo
Company.
Fashion Shows & Events
A plethora of fashion shows, seminars and workshops will make Body Look a unique
experience for trade fair visitors.
Due to the increased number of exhibitors three different Trend.Shows will be held for
the first time. These will be presented on the stage of Hall 16 once a day at 10.00 am,
11.30 am and 2.30 pm. Another addition to the programme is the “Fashion Show
Intimate Park“ debuting on Sunday and Monday, twice daily.

For those wanting to take a closer look at next summer’s trends, the Igedo Company
also provides other ample opportunities.

und swimwear trends in Hall 15 and get inspirations for their own in-store presentation.
